The Studio Behind Kerbal Space Program 2 Was Reportedly Closed By Take-Two Interactive
May-01-2024
Following updates, reports indicate that the Kerbal Space Program 2 creator, Intercept Games, has been discontinued as a segment of the extensive reductions in workforce earlier divulged by the overseeing entity, Take-Two. A new report asserts that the distinguished British game developer Roll7, celebrated for its highly-praised projects like OlliOlli World and Rollerdrome, has also met a similar fate.
As Jason Schreier of Bloomberg reports, based on internal communications at Take-Two, which were reviewed by the news outlet, Roll7 is the latter of two affiliates to be discontinued amid Take-Two’s organizational restructuring. Employees of Roll7 are said to be receiving offers for severance packages.
Roll7 became a part of Take-Two's portfolio when it was acquired by Private Division, Take-Two’s independent game publishing division, in the year 2021. Subsequently, the studio launched two critically acclaimed works - OlliOlli World and Rollerdrome - in the year that followed.
