Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War Will be Available on Game Pass at Launch – Rumour

Several months have passed since Microsoft's purchase of Activision Blizzard was completed. While a selection of Activision's games have started to appear on Game Pass, beginning with Diablo 4 in March, the status of Call of Duty joining the service has been unclear. Reports indicate that detailed information about Call of Duty’s inclusion in Game Pass will soon be made public.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the new Call of Duty title will be available on Game Pass starting on its release day. Although sales of the game might decline, the company anticipates an increase in Game Pass subscriptions due to its popularity.

The Wall Street Journal also suggests that Microsoft will confirm the game's inclusion on Game Pass during the Xbox Games Showcase in June. Furthermore, previous suggestions were that Microsoft might consider adding older Call of Duty titles to Game Pass as well.

Early this month, Xbox president Sarah Bond confirmed that all newly developed first-party games from Microsoft, including those from Activision, would be available on Game Pass from their respective release dates. However, she did not specifically mention Call of Duty. Other recent rumors suggest that Microsoft could introduce a new pricing structure and a higher tier for Game Pass subscriptions.

Leaks hint that this year's Call of Duty installment will be titled "Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War" and feature an entirely open-world campaign developed by Raven Software. It is rumored that the launch will be set for October.
