Baldur's Gate 3 Receives Fresh Hotfix, Larian Studios Director Teases Future Endeavors
Jan-10-2024
New updates for Baldur's Gate 3 have been implemented through the latest hotfix, bringing a host of improvements across all gaming platforms. Hotfix #16 starts the year strong for Larian Studios' acclaimed RPG, addressing a wide array of improvements.
This update refines cross-save capabilities by preventing the synchronization of modded saves and enhances the functionality of Waypoints. Players can now rest assured that quest-related items will be accessible even if stored in the camp chest, and other adjustments include resolved texture and visual abnormalities, fixes for game crashes and obstacles, and combat and balance alterations. The entire rundown of amendments can be checked on their website.
While the Larian Studios team is dedicated to refining Baldur's Gate 3 through continual updates, the game's mastermind, Swen Vincke, has been busily plotting his next creative venture. Vincke, engaging with the community on social media, shared insights into his recent efforts, disclosing that after a considerable four months of dedication, the opening act of his upcoming project has taken shape.
Yet, Vincke emphasized that his reveal should not be treated as a precursor to an imminent announcement, and it seems the project in question diverges from expectations, possibly steering clear of any direct ties to Baldur's Gate 3. Speculation abounds that it might be a fresh endeavor within the Divinity cosmos, which Larian has hinted at revisiting one day. The true nature of this new venture, however, remains shrouded in mystery, with details likely to emerge in due course.
In the meantime, fans can enjoy Baldur's Gate 3, which is available globally for play on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
